New HELG Website Goes Live With the Latest Highways Efficiency Toolkit (Feb 2009)
The Highway’s Efficiency Liaison Group (HELG) has launched a brand new website to coincide with the publication of the latest Highways Efficiency Toolkit.

Mike Bordiss, chair of HELG, commented: “The Highways Efficiency Toolkit is updated and republished every year by HELG and for 2009 we have taken the opportunity to refresh and relaunch our website.”

“The purpose of our website is to be an effective resource centre for highways professionals and we hope the new site is user-friendly and informative.”

The Highways Efficiency Liaison Group is a whole industry advisory group, representing a wide range of organisations which constitute the highways industry. This includes central and local government, service providers and professional bodies, making HELG the only organisation of its kind in the UK.

Due to its unique membership, HELG has the strength and ability to both support and influence the highways industry, directly and in partnership with member organisations. This means that HELG can be a truly effective facilitator of change and best practice within the highways industry.

Highways professionals can now visit the new web site to access the latest information on highways efficiency in the UK and download resources and documents, including the latest Highways Efficiency Toolkit.

Mike added: “2009 is a big year for highways efficiency with ever increasing pressure on highways to be more innovative and to achieve even more from even less. We want to make sure that HELG has easily available and up to date resources to assist the industry and part of this is to ensure we have a modern, fit for purpose, website. We believe we now have this and we are looking forward to feedback, ideas for improvement, and especially to any additional case studies that we receive from users."
